Abstract summary
Weskoppies Hospital began life in 1892 under the South African Republic. The clinical head of this hospital is now the Professor of Psychiatry of Pretoria University, and it has close links with the H. F. Verwoerd Hospital. Sterkfontein Hospital was opened in 1943, and admits most of its patients from Johannesburg. It has now been placed under the clinical control of the Professor of Psychiatry of the University of the Witwatersrand, and is thus linked with the psychiatric departments of the Johannesburg General and Tara Hospitals.Study Outcome
