Abstract summary 

This commentary reviews the contributions made in each of the other articles in this issue in the context of the author's international experience. I discuss the tremendous diversity in education, training, experience, and legal status of psychologists around with world, using examples from Argentina, Australia, Brunei, Iran, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, and Spain--the eight countries represented in this issue of Journal of Clinical Psychology: In Session.
